Spark the Spirit kicks off Christmas on Canal Street with a tree lighting ceremony, judging of the historic district window displays, and live entertainment in our beautiful downtown. Bring your chair, and take part in festivities that everyone will enjoy. Stores and restaurants will be open late, so patrons can shop, as well as enjoy the fun.
Canal Street Historic District brings the spirit of the holidays to Christmas Park at the corner of Live Oak and Canal Streets. Stop in at Santa's Place, and watch the children's eyes light up when they see the sparkling decorations and Santa, too. Have your picture taken in front of a mural by local artist Cathy Berse. Entertainment by local groups puts you in the holiday spirit.
